Toshiba Corporation to support IRITS Rail Summit 2013

June 4, 2013 - PRLog -- International Rail Infrastructure and Technology Summit (IRITS) is delighted to announce the participation of Japanese engineering and electronics giant Toshiba Corporation at IRITS 2013, which takes place in Berlin on 6-8 November 2013.

Toshiba Corporation's history of technological innovations in the railway business dates back to 1899 and includes the development of locomotives, electric equipment for rolling stock, traction power supply systems and train traffic management systems.

Responding to growing concerns for the environment and mindful of rail's green credentials, Toshiba Corporation is marshalling its storied expertise in the field to offer not only environmentally friendly but convenient and profitable solutions for today's industry needs. Chief among these solutions are Toshiba's development and promotion of hybrid locomotives that reduce both NOx emissions and noise and a Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor (PMSM) that reduces power consumption in combination with regenerative braking.

Toshiba Corporation will be participating in IRITS 2013 and their representatives will be available for pre-arranged one-to-one meetings throughout the summit.
