Ovenu Uxbridge businessman celebrates first anniversary of trading

SOUTHAMPTON, U.K. - June 4, 2013 - PRLog -- Richard Chalambrides, 23, runs Ovenu in Uxbridge, which provides an environmentally-friendly oven cleaning service to residential properties and businesses including letting agents, private landlords and local schools.  

He said: “I was working for my dad before in the car paint spraying business but it folded because of the recession and I was out of work.

“I ended up getting taken on for two weeks here and two weeks there by different companies and then I’d be paid off again once they’d cleared their backlog. I decided I wanted to be my own boss and being a franchisee with Ovenu has turned out just perfectly.”

He is now proud of running his own business, feels secure and enjoys his work. He said: “I get a lot of satisfaction from doing a good job. Cleaning ovens is a task that people fear but if you have the right equipment, solutions and techniques it can be done very effectively. I get a lot of satisfaction from turning a very dirty oven into something that looks like new again.”

The whole process takes around three to four hours and leaves the oven, hob and exterior in immaculate condition.
