Vital Warrior Busier Than Ever For PTSD Awareness Month

Vital Warrior wants to help our Veterans, not only this month, but every month

SAN DIEGO - June 2, 2013 - PRLog -- The month of June is known as PTSD Awareness Month although we here at Vital Warrior call it PTSS, as we don’t consider Post Traumatic Stress a “Disorder” but rather a “Syndrome”.

It's Not A Disorder!

Many times called an “invisible wound”, the effects that PTSS has on the men and women in our military, as well as civilians, can be overwhelming. Feelings of anger, fear, confusion, depression and even thoughts of suicide can take its toll on an individual and extend to their families. PTSS can result from exposure to high-stress situations ranging from military combat to divorce or a car accident, etc.

The Eight Modalities

If you suffer from PTSS, please know that you are not alone. You are not weak and you can learn to regain a chemical balance within yourself. Please take a moment to visit Vital Warrior and learn about the Eight Modalities (http://vitalwarrior.org/the-program/), as listed below:

1. F.I.R.S.T – Far Infrared Spectrum Therapy
2. Mayofascial Release
3. Acupuncture
4. R.E.S.T – Restrictive Environment Simulation Therapy
5. TRE – Trauma Release Exercise
6. Kundalini Yoga
7. Meditation & Tapping
8. Mentoring

No Need To Take Pharmaceuticals Anymore

If you notice in the list above, none of these steps involves any form of pharmaceutical drug. We urge you to have an open mind if you are visiting the site to research these modalities for yourself or for a family member as these modalities can seem quite foreign to you. Keep in mind that each of these modalities has been tried and tested personally by  Vital Warrior Founder, Mikal Vega.

On the Vital Warrior website, you’ll get a glimpse of Mikal Vega’s personal bout with PTSS and also a Mild Traumatic Brain Injury and how he has managed to remove all the prescribed drugs from his life through the dedication he has toward his own personal “self healing”. He has learned to rebalance himself from within and continues to do so daily.

Nothing worth doing is ever easy.  We all have within us what it takes to overcome any obstacle. Whether you have served, are currently active or a civilian, experiencing the symptoms of PTSS can be scary. Let Vital Warrior help.  Currently, Vital Warrior is based out of Los Angeles, CA.  Its Founder, Mikal Vega is certified to teach both the TRE and Kundalini Yoga modalities. Mikal currently teaches Kundalini Yoga classed to Veterans at VetNet and has been asked to teach TRE as well.

Vital Warrior is Reaching Out Through The Community

Certainly the need for help is ever present and can sometimes exceed the necessary resources offered through Veteran Affairs or other government agency to reach everyone. That’s why Vital Warrior came to be. With a Mobile Unit cross-country tour to set sail in Spring 2014, Vital Warrior is taking its fundraising efforts to the community. Vital Warrior’s Mikal Vega, a retired Navy SEAL and several of his SEAL brothers will be Diving for Vital Warrior at the Aquarium of the Pacific in Long Beach, CA this coming August followed by a Golf Tournament in October – all to prepare to take Vital Warrior directly to the Veterans across the country.

Why the Mobile Unit? Facilities that can offer any of the eight modalities can be found near you if you look them up. Mikal will personally travel in the Mobile Unit to demonstrate and guide in selecting the most qualified facilities in your area.  In doing so, Vital Warrior will also be laying the ground work towards its main goal of opening up its own facilities near military bases and communities.
