Every Friday the popular women’s fashion and beauty blog will feature readers 40, 50 and beyond who’ve put together stylish and inspiring looks from clothing out of their own closets.

“It’s one thing to see a fashionable outfit in a magazine on a skinny 20-something model. It’s a totally different thing to see that same look on a real 40+ woman in her everyday life,” says Fabulous After 40 founder Deborah Boland.

Fabulous After 40’s What I Wore was created to be a supportive forum where readers are encouraged to submit their photos. Not surprisingly, the photos have been flooding in.

“There response has been overwhelming,” says Boland. “We’ve had submissions from all over the U.S. and Canada and as far away as Australia and the Philippines. It turns out that women love sharing what they’ve been wearing with others and the feedback from the community has been really positive and encouraging.

From casual to dressy looks, chic to funky fashion, and classy to edgy style, one thing is for sure, the What I Wore photos reflect the unique, personal style of fashionistas over 40, many who harbor a secret dream.
