LUCKNOW, 31st May, 2013: Auditions are under-way for BIG MAGIC’s talent hunt for the upcoming star, BIG Fame Star. After weeks of trying hard, shortlisted contestants from Sitapur, Kanpur and Lucknow are all set to fight it out and showcase their best at the Mega Auditions. For contestants who have reached this far, the Mega Auditions provide them with the unique opportunity to interact with BIG Fame Star’s mentors – television actor Varun Badola and actress Rajeshwari Sachdev. Hosted by Sara Khan, the mega auditions are being held in lucknow on 31st  May, 2013 in an attempt to zero-in on the most talented contestants in the region.

With television actor Varun Badola and Rajeshwari Sachdev as mentors and judges, and actress Sara Khan as host, BIG MAGIC’s BIG Fame Star already has the makings of a blockbuster. With the third phase of auditions under way, contestants who have been shortlisted from Sitapur, Kanpur and Lucknow will come together as the mentors hone their talents and share some tips with them to better than performances. Two more phases of auditions will follow wherein more contestants will be selected from 4 additional markets across Uttar Pradesh – with noida being the next city to witness their youth’s rise to fame. By the time the three phases of auditions draw to a close, the mentors will have shortlisted the top 16 contestants who will be able to take their dreams of superstardom to another level through weekly challenges and rounds that will be featured on BIG Fame Star on BIG MAGIC.

Speaking about his role as mentor, actor Varun Badola said, “A major part of today’s youth harbours dreams of stardom. However, not all get the platform to showcase their hidden talents. BIG MAGIC and BIG Fame Star is giving the youth of Uttar Pradesh this unique opportunity and I am delighted to be a part of this. I am looking forward to share my knowledge and understanding of the entertainment industry with this excited bunch of contestants and am sure that some of them will go on to make a big name and grand career for themselves.”

Adding to this, his fellow mentor and wife, actress Rajeshwari Sachdev said, “I believe that everyone has a talent but only some get the platform. I am extremely glad to be associated with BIG MAGIC’s BIG Fame Star and am looking forward to interact with the contestants at the mega auditions. I have heard some great things about the contestants who have made it this far and am sure that their talent is going to make our job of selecting the finalists extremely difficult.”
