LAS VEGAS - May 31, 2013 - PRLog -- KingPin is a new, innovative app that turns your smartphone into a wireless controller for almost any device. The programmers behind the app have started a crowd-funding campaign on the popular platform Kickstarter, in order to obtain funding to carry out their idea.

KingPin is a very simple to use, all in one controller. With the push of a button, the app starts looking for devices and apps to control. Once the device is found, it will show a unique controller customized for the connected device.

Mike Bozorgi, one of the founders of Toqio (the Las Vegas based tech startup behind KingPin), has a bold vision regarding the future of their app. "We are currently at a time where wireless devices are becoming a dominant part of our daily lives. This is why we felt that it is necessary for us to create a more integrated way to control the devices around us. Our solution is KingPin. With KingPin we wanted to create a platform, where users can easily access all their controls.”

KingPin is a versatile tool that will work with a number of devices from computers to Do-It-Yourself (DIY) projects. Currently the team is working on making their app compatible with as many devices as possible. They are working on ways to get connected with DIY projects by creating compatibility with Arduino devices as well as the Raspberry Pi Micro Computers. The team strides to provide the tools necessary for individuals, who want to create the next big thing.

The team has worked for months creating an SDK that will give developers the tools necessary to create almost any controller. "We believe the biggest contribution to KingPin will be made by the developers of apps as well as hardware manufacturers. Our app can generate any number of buttons, analog sticks, keyboards and more, but it is entirely in the hands of the developers to decide what they will use it for, and how it's going to look.", says Chris Mikhael, the software engineer at Toqio.

The app for iOS has been in development for almost a year and is currently in the testing stage. The team however needs help in financing the development of the Android app and the development kit for Windows. To accomplish this, the team is using the crowd-funding platform, Kickstarter, which allows individuals to donate to the team. Individuals have the ability to view a video explaining the project, read more information, and become a backer.
