CHICAGO - May 31, 2013 - PRLog -- Chicago’s Shedd Aquarium is once again scheduling periodic music themed parties, dubbed Jazzin’ at the Shedd (http://www.conciergepreferred.com/chicago-attractions/5260-2013-jazzin-at-the-shedd.html), this summer. The event, which promises to be a good time for people of all ages, is being held every Wednesday from 5 p.m. until 10 p.m. between June 26 and September 4. Members of the Shedd will be able to get in free of charge while non-members will be charged $18 for adults and $16 for children ages 3 to 11. Tickets for non-members can be purchased at the Shedd Aquarium’s website (http://www.sheddaquarium.org/) when they become available.

The event itself is taking place at the exterior of the Shedd on the aquarium’s Bill and Stephanie Sick Family Lakefront Terrace. This position gives attendees an enjoyably cool breeze from off the lake as well as a wonderful view of the city and the Navy Pier fireworks also occurring Wednesdays this summer. These views are the backdrop to the musical performances, which will include genres like jazz and funk. Drinks are being served too, alongside a buffet, and the interior of the aquarium is set to be open to guests extra late on the nights Jazzin’ falls on as well.

The main galleries will remain open until the end of the event, 10 p.m., but certain sections of the Shedd Aquarium (http://www.conciergepreferred.com/chicago-museums/2802-di...), though open later than usual, still have earlier closing times. The Abbot Oceanarium, the Jellies exhibit, and the Polar Play Zone will close at 8 p.m. and the Wild Reef exhibit will close at 9 p.m.

The Jazzin’ at the Shedd events this summer join an already impressive list of fun and family friendly things to do in the Museum Campus, the South Loop, and on the Chicago lakefront this summer.
