3D Lenticular Artist - Anil CS Rao - Special Pricing on Select Works

May 31, 2013 - PRLog -- Anil CS Rao works in Digital 3D CG and Lenticular Artwork.  He has previously exhibited his artwork at Dino Eli / Orchard Window Gallery in NYC, Touchstone Gallery in Washington DC, Gallery Space in Hyderabad, India and numerous other venues for group and solo shows.  He lives with his wife, family and dog in Ellicott City Maryland where he works on his "daytime job" creating comic books and graphic novels.

Each work is layered in a custom computer application and / or photoshop and printed onto a (3D) 40 lpi Lenticular sheet/lens to create the illusion of depth when viewed at various angles.  The subjects deal with a beach motif expressing the dream like states one experiences on a vacation at a beach - the artwork based on photography (background) and CG character models (original) created by the artist.  The idea, like the process, is to create an illusion of another time and place which has no basis in actual physical reality - and the "big picture" being that this illusion is termed "MAYA" (sanskrit) - the theory being that actual PHYSICAL reality is an illusion and our perceptions and experience are the "real" component of our lives.  The subjects are in the vein of "kitsch" or "pop art" hence further distancing the viewer from actual physical reality.

Anil CS Rao work will be on display at the Green Door Gallery in the Santora building at the Santa Ana Arts Walk in Santa Ana California on Saturday June 1st 2013.
