Entries officially open for Somerset Business Awards 2013

SOUTH PETHERTON, U.K. - May 31, 2013 - PRLog -- Somerset’s prestigious business awards, sponsored by main sponsor, Albert Goodman, are officially open for entries. The Somerset Business Awards recognises and celebrates Somerset’s outstanding and diverse businesses, which have continued to support the growth of the Somerset economy.  

Officially opening the Somerset Business Awards for its ninth year, Rupert Cox, CEO of the Somerset Chamber of Commerce – who organise the Awards – says, “There is great business being done in Somerset and I am extremely proud to be a part of it. The Awards showcase the talent and entrepreneurialism in the area, encourage best practice and offer exciting opportunities for everyone involved. I have high hopes for this year’s entrants.”

Somerset businesses have a choice of 14 award categories to enter, including a new category for 2013 – the Young Business Employee of the Year Award – which will recognise the achievements of a young employee within an organisation.

Increasing in popularity each year, winners of a Somerset Business Award enjoy great recognition for their work and experience a welcome boost in business.

The Somerset Business Awards 2013 were officially opened at the Network Central exhibition at Bridgwater College on Thursday 30 May, in front of an array of influential business people from across the county.
