Transmedia SF Announces Focused Events and Education for Ad, Brand, PR and Communications Professionals

San Francisco, CA --- April 30, 2013 ---  Transmedia SF, a growing community of creative and tech producers and strategists, announced today that it is launching a series of events and educational programs aimed at marketing communucations, PR and advertising professionals.   Events will include meetups, conferences,  custom training sessions and hands-on transmedia workshops that will cover a range of topics, from tools and techniques, to best practices and case studies, and experiential planning.  The first events are scheduled to launch in May of 2013 and include a meetup event and a series of hands-on workshops entitled, “Transmedia Discovery Workshops For Brands and Communications.”  

“The need for Transmedia strategy and multi-screen campaigns in business is growing,” said Beth Rogozinki, co-founder of Transmedia SF.  “Where audiences go, advertising follows and smart communications professionals in both consumer products and services, and business to business marketing, realize the need to engage and delight their audiences with a compelling story, across all of their devices.”  

The use of Transmedia strategies in marketing and communications campaigns is growing and  major brands and companies are pursuing transmedia strategies.  A recent Forbes article quoted a Coca-Cola executive as crediting a transmedia campaign with increasing global sales by 4%.  

“We’re at a point where learning another tool or telling great stories isn’t enough,”  said Whitney Greer, Managing Partner, The Brandularity Group and workshop leader for the Transmedia SF Workshop series Transmedia Discovery Workshops For Brands and Communications .  “Transmedia storytelling is a much-needed strategic evolution to the social media platform wars for marketing and communications professionals.  We’re happy to be able to work with Transmedia SF in developing and delivering new programs and methodologies and truly helping businesses cultivate a transmedia strategy that will increase their sales and their success.”
