Assemblyman Espinal Appointed to Serve as Chair of Subcommittee

BROOKLYN, N.Y. - May 30, 2013 - PRLog -- Assemblyman Espinal to Serve as Chair of Subcommittee on Insurer Investments and Market Practices in Underserved Areas

Brooklyn, NY—Assemblyman Rafael L. Espinal, Jr. (D-54th Kings) has been selected to lead the Subcommittee on Insurer Investments and Market Practices in Underserved Areas.

“I would like to thank the Speaker of the Assembly, Mr. Sheldon Silver, for entrusting such an important subcommittee to me and allowing me the opportunity to serve the people of the Great State of New York in yet another capacity. I will act as the voice for those living in areas that are underserved by insurance companies. I look forward to discussing issues and implementing policies that will make our communities better,” Espinal stated.

Assemblyman Espinal was elected during a special election on September 13, 2011. He represents the 54th Assembly District serving the Cypress Hills, Bedford Stuyvesant, Bushwick, City Line, and East New York neighborhoods. Assembly Member Espinal is hoping to further his ability to help those less fortunate than he. He would like to see the people of New York receive all the benefits New York State has to offer, and to advocate for equal opportunities for all.
