Local Clicks To Bricks Reviews Pinterest and Offers New Social Visibility Tool For Marketers

Local Click to Bricks is offering a new, free social visibility tool for small businesses and entrepreneurs to determine how easy new customers can find their businesses

June 13, 2013 - PRLog -- May 29, 2013 — Local Clicks To Bricks CEO Don Fawcett recently reviewed Pinterest as a social marketing tool for small businesses and advises against using it.

Pinterest is a photo sharing site where users can post random pictures to engage interest among their followers.

Similar photo sharing sites such as Flickr, Instagram, and Tumblr all went through the same phase says the CEO of Local Click to Bricks.

Don Fawcett commented, “Photo sites are great and many users find them fun, however, I don’t think they really have a place in marketing a local business. Too many times small business owners don’t know which social sites they should be spending their time in, so we wanted to offer a tried and true method for small businesses and marketers to determine where the social marketing dollars are best spent. That’s what the Online Visibility Audit does for them.”

The Online Visibility Audit is a tool that determines a company’s social presence as well as the local directories that are listed in, simply by using the company name and zip code where the business is located.

Forbes (http://www.forbes.com/sites/adriankingsleyhughes/2013/05/...) reported that Yahoo is giving Flickr a makeover in hopes to attract more users back to its photo sharing site.

Don Fawcett commented, “I’m not saying Pinterest is not useful, in fact with the introduction of the new rich pins, this may be very useful for merchants with products in the future. I just don’t think  Pinterest has much use from a local business perspective right now. There will always be exceptions, but I think overall Pinterest is not a good marketing tool for the local business owner.”

According to Practical E-Commerce (http://www.practicalecommerce.com/articles/4040-Pinterest...) , Rich Pins have been recently introduced by Pinterest to allow merchants the ability to display information such as pricing, product availability, and where to buy pinned items.

Don Fawcett added, “Pinterest has some marketing uses, but local business is not one of them. Our Online Visibility Audit tool will help small business owners and marketers decide which social outlets are best to be using for the business.”

Don Fawcett teaches basic business marketing principles and Internet marketing strategies to business owners and individuals alike. For more information visit http://www.localclickstobricks.com/
