By: Sharon Ruchman Composer of four previous classical music CDs, Ruchman commented about her newly-released “Love & Ceremony ~ Wedding Music” CD that, “All of my compositions are original. So more often than not, it is music that few other marrying couples have integrated into their wedding ceremony. It is my belief that because it is original music, it will innately stand out, and the wedding couple and their guests will long remember the music of the ceremony.” A prolific classical music composer, in 2012 Sharon Ruchman released her fourth CD of original music, “Textures”. In 2011, she released her third self-composed CD, “Remembrance”. She released “Arrival of Spring” in 2010, and her first CD was released in 2009 titled “Chamber Music” featuring “Sea Glass”. “The music in me is fluid and continual,” she commented. “For this newest CD, I compiled compositions from all of my previous CDs into music I believe offers a distinctive background for many types of wedding ceremonies.” Sharon Ruchman’s “Love & Ceremony ~ Wedding Music” video begins with Pre-Ceremony Music in her song, “Flute & Piano Duet OP3: II Allegretto” from her “Remembrance” CD. As Ruchman’s original music plays, guests are shown arriving at various wedding venues. “There are many traditional classical pieces on this CD that are perfect for this pre-ceremony time,” stated Ruchman. “The initial tracks provide eleven minutes of romantic, soft, joy-filled ceremony prelude music to warmly greet guests and to help build the excitement leading up to the procession.” This Pre-Ceremony portion of the video moves from a groom and his best man as they approach a ceremony setting to guests entering a church and greeting one another. It journeys to the excitement of the arrival of bridesmaids followed by groomsmen. Ruchman’s music escalates with the heightened excitement of the arrival of various brides at their long-dreamed- Processional Music on Ruchman’s “Love & Ceremony ~ Wedding Music” CD is taken from her “Awakening” CD. Setting an elegant tone, the video shows brides walking toward their grooms on the arms of their proud fathers. “This music selection,” stated Ruchman, “offers a traditional tone such as Felix Mendelssohn’ For Recessional Music, Ruchman chose lively compositions from her “Awakening: III” song featuring from her first CD, “Chamber Music”. “This portion of the video,” she explained, “shows a lively collection of happy brides and grooms immediately after their ceremonies. Recessions feature brides, grooms and bridal parties exiting from churches, outdoor and elaborate mansion settings. This very lively and uplifting composition is filled with great happiness, excitement, anticipation and most of all, love.” Sharon Ruchman stated that the music on her “Love & Ceremony ~ Wedding Music” CD is a culmination of carefully-selected tracks from all of her four CDS. “This CD offers a distinctive element for creating the perfect romantic tone for a wedding ceremony.” On her website, she advises, “Use this album’s music as a compilation of prelude, processional and recessional wedding music throughout your entire ceremony. Or play the CD to greet your guests with timeless music as they arrive at your wedding.” Created as a replacement to traditional gifts of match books and mini-photo frames, Ruchman added, “This CD can also be a distinctive remembrance gift to give to wedding guests to play again and again for years to come. Because it’s a very personal gift from the bridal couple, an insert can be placed into each CD inscribed with a personal note from the couple.” Intervals of Sharon Ruchman’s compositions on her “Love & Ceremony ~ Wedding Music” CD, and the accompanying video, can be heard and seen on www.sharonruchman.com and YouTube.
