Follow on Google News | “Jazz and Blues” Night with Bassist Buddy Sampson Benefiting Children’s Hospital Los AngelesA Benefit for Children’s Hospital Los Angeles will be held on June 22,2013.
The event will be held on June 22, 2013, from 5:30-10PM at the beautiful venue, Hemingway’s, located on the 1st floor of 6356 Hollywood Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90028. Buddy’ Buddy Sampson, widely known in Los Angeles as the Publisher of The Scoop LA, www.thescoopla.com, is a talented bassist and songwriter. He has written for independent films and performed in several countries, including the British Virgin Islands, Germany, Switzerland, Costa Rica and France. In 1999, he performed with singer Larry Woodley for the Montreux Jazz Festival and had the opportunity to jam with legendary guitarist Steve Cropper and rocker legend Edgar Winter. His original compositions and chops will be on display at Hemingway’s. Opening the show will be The Scribes, featuring jazz journalist Scott Yanow on saxophone, classical writer for The LA Times’ Richard Ginell on keyboards, Dean Rohan on drums and Buddy Sampson on bass. Singer/songwriter Javelyn will perform as well. Exciting jazz and funk band Crosstown Traffic is also on the show.
