Resource Efficiency – a Golden Opportunity for FMs

The European Facility Management Conference took place last week in Prague, the most significant, all-encompassing educational and networking event for facility management professionals in Europe
 
CAMBRIDGE, U.K. - May 30, 2013 - PRLog -- David Sharp, Managing Director at Workplace Law, was invited to speak on the subject of waste management. The subsequent presentation, sought to show facilities managers how tackling waste management and resource efficiency effectively, could contribute to improved performance and that the benefits, as well as being environmental, can be reaped economically and socially.

Explained in the presentation, were the reasons why facilities managers must, should and should want to better manage waste and resources. Available to download, is a separate paper, ‘less is more’ in support of the presentation.

In this paper, the business case for investing in resource efficiency is explored and the facilities management sector highlighted as a business sector with huge capacity to influence potential resource efficiency, often being the driving force in the way organisations are run.
