SAN ANTONIO - May 29, 2013 - PRLog -- Little Rock, AR. - The National Association of Trade Exchanges (NATE) held their 29th annual convention at the Wyndham Riverfront Little Rock where trade exchanges from all over the U.S. attended.

The convention, hosted by Southern Barter Exchange, consisted of seminars for trade exchange owners and brokers. Along with the seminars and discussion panels, convention attendees had a lot of other fun this year including many social events planned as a means for networking, our NATE Trade Out and our awards banquet that was held at the Clinton Presidential Library.

Sponsors for this year’s convention included Alamo Barter, Arizona Trade Exchange, New England Trade, The Barter Company and the 2013 Overall Convention Sponsor was International Monetary Systems. Their generous contributions went to the planning, organizing and execution of convention events such as the Clinton Library banquet, Arkansas Travelers baseball game outing and Great NATE Trade Out/Cocktail Mixer.

In addition to the seminars moderated by exchange owners and brokers, NATE guest speaker Cynthia Vassilowitch gave a superb seminar on IRS issues. With nearly three decades of experience with the IRS, Ms. Vassilowitch is a certified public accountant (CPA), enrolled agent (EA) authorized by the US. Treasury and has her Masters in Taxation (MST).

Another exciting announcement to come from the convention was the unveiling of NATE’s new BANC software, Trade Studio NATE Marketplace. Trade Studio’s chief engineer, Kurt Bradley, gave an introductory session for the new software that is planned to go live June 1. Members got a first-hand look at the new software and an opportunity to interact with Mr. Bradley while learning the benefits of the new NATE Marketplace.

Finally, NATE would like to congratulate these re-elected and new additions to our Board of Directors:
