Go Realty Agent to Provide Support for Anna's Angels Foundation

CARY, N.C. - May 29, 2013 - PRLog -- Go Realty believes in giving back to local causes. In fact, for every real estate transaction closed by a Go Realty agent, the agency donates $50 to the individual realtor’s charity of choice. Karen McHugh-Coe, a longtime supporter of Anna’s Angels Foundation, announced today that she will donate $100 -- $50 from Go Realty plus her matching $50 donation—to the North Carolina-based Foundation. Anna’s Angels is a not-for-profit organization that supports Down syndrome research at Duke Children’s Hospital. The Foundation’s vision is to improve the cognitive and communicative ability of individuals with Down syndrome to give them the skills they need to reach their fullest potential

Anna’s Angels was founded in 2003 by Andrew Merrills and Michelle Pfeiffer, on behalf of their daughter Anna, who was born with Down syndrome, a chromosomal abnormality which occurs in one of approximately 733 live births.. All donations to Anna’s Angels go directly to Duke Children’s Hospital to support research efforts on behalf of individuals with Down syndrome.

It’s wonderful that their generous donations will help us expand our research efforts at Duke Children’s Hospital”.

Over the past 10 years, Anna’s Angels has raised more than $1 million for Down syndrome research at Duke by holding a number of fundraising events throughout the year, including an annual gala and fashion show. This year’s gala, which was held in March, featured FOX television’s Glee star, Lauren Potter, who has Down syndrome.
