RE/MAX Suburban in Arlington Heights Garage Sale on June 8 to Benefit Lurie Children's Hospital

CHICAGO - May 28, 2013 - PRLog -- CHICAGO, May 28, 2013 – The brokers at RE/MAX Suburban, 1808 Arlington Heights Road, Arlington Heights, Ill., are planning a June 8 sidewalk garage sale from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. in front of their office, with all proceeds benefitting Lurie Children’s Hospital in Chicago and the Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals (CMNH).  

“We hope many families in the area will turn out to do a little bargain shopping and help a great local institution,” said Mary Zentz, the broker with RE/MAX Suburban who originated the garage sale idea.

“It occurred to me because I’m personally in the process of cleaning out two houses and consolidating them into a single residence.  In talking with some of my office colleagues, we realized all of us had many salable items for which we’d like to find new homes, and a joint garage sale would be a good way to do it.  Plus, we have been looking for ideas to continue our long-time support for Lurie Children’s Hospital.”

“We’re looking for items that would sell for at least $5 each, and would be happy to accept donations meeting that criterion.  Anything that isn’t sold on June 8 will be donated to another local charity,” she said.
