Malissa Attebery Joins Walter P Moore as Global Learning Manager

HOUSTON - May 28, 2013 - PRLog -- International engineering firm WALTER P MOORE welcomes Malissa Attebery as the new Learning Manager for the firm’s 17 global offices. In this role, Malissa manages the MooreLearning™ program, which was developed by the firm’s Knowledge Management Committee and provides classes and training opportunities to their 325+ employees, both engineers and non-engineers. Malissa is based at Walter P Moore’s corporate headquarters in Houston, Texas.

Prior to joining Walter P Moore, Malissa was an instructional designer for Lone Star College, where she designed courses for adult education and developed online and hybrid courses for distance learning. She earned a Master of Education from Sam Houston State University, where she majored in Instructional Technology & Leadership and minored in Computer Science.

As manager and administrator of the MooreLearning™ program, Malissa organizes in-house and virtual courses focused on the professional development and personal growth of each employee. Course offerings are organized according to nine learning categories: Business Development, Communication Skills, Consulting Skills, Personal Development, Professional Practices, Project Management, Supervisory Skills, Technology (tools, software), and Technical Skills (specific to career field). Malissa has also implemented a convenient education management system for employees to access and track their continuing education credits necessary for maintaining professional licensure.
