DEARLY BEFUDDLED, a comic novel set in Yellowstone National Park, debuts June 1

May 28, 2013 - PRLog -- What happens when indie producer Isaac Holman is asked to photograph the wedding of the woman with whom he’s hopelessly in love? The results, both poignant and hilarious, could only come from the mind and pen of writer, producer and photographer Michael J. Katz.

      Katz gained national acclaim with his comic mystery trilogy (Murder Off The Glass, Last Dance In Redondo Beach, The Big Freeze), published by Walker and Putnam, featuring sportscaster Andy Sussman and detective Murray Glick.  He went on to write for television and gained experience in the indie film market by writing and producing the Kafka-esque comedy Remembering Phil. Dearly Befuddled tells the story of Isaac Holman, producer of esoteric indie films, who travels to Yellowstone at the request of film development VP Debra Siegal, to photograph her wedding to the ne’er do well son of a Hollywood film mogul. But Isaac is once and always in love with Debra, and the two of them can’t escape each others’ orbits as the tumultuous wedding weekend unfolds at the Old Faithful Inn.
