No more cross pedestrians at leading supermarket

May 28, 2013 - PRLog -- A leading supermarket chain has just completed trials using Degafloor’s ultra fast curing LM system to re-instate a zebra crossing and associated white lines.
Based on world leading Degaroute® methyl methacrylate resin technology, Degafloor LM cures in as little as 30 minutes making it ideal for use in environments where downtime is critical.

The customer has traditionally used thermoplastic line markings, but poor durability often results in markings being re-applied in as little as 2 years.  This can be expensive and the rapid decline in the visibility of markings can lead to pedestrian safety issues.   The Degafloor LM system is designed to last at least 3 times longer than thermoplastic products and live environments have shown that life expectancy of 8 years is viable.

The supermarket’s own maintenance teams have been trained to use a wide variety of Degafloor products to complete small projects and repairs which helps main costs by avoiding the need to employ a specialist contractor.

Based on the success of the trials, a national roll-out programme is now being planned.
