Metropolitan Fine Arts Graduates Move On To College

May 28, 2013 - PRLog -- Metropolitan Fine Arts Center (MFAC) of Alexandria, Va. recently hosted its annual Spring Recital, featuring their senior students with piano and musical theatre performances at the The Artisphere in Arlington, Va. The Center’s high school graduates are moving on to college, including

Hermela Solomo, joining the High Tech Dance Team at Virginia Tech, Rosie Matthews going to Pace University in NYC, studying commercial dance, Gabi Stapula, also to attend Pace University in NYC for musical theatre, Arianna Bhambhani to attend Virginia Tech, Brianna Latrash, heading to University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music,  Emily DiMaggio attending University of the Arts in Philadelphia, Alexandra Rosenberg going to The College of William and Mary and Ara Snyder attending Pennsylvania State University. “This spring recital was a celebration of our graduates’ achievements, both in the classroom and on the stage,” said Matthew Nall, music director of Metropolitan Fine Arts Center of Alexandria, Va. “Metropolitan Fine Arts Center holistic training methods nurture and empower students to harness their talents and skills and be the best they can be,” said Nall.

Founder and executive director, Melissa Dobbs, was classically trained at Duke Ellington School of the Arts in Washington, DC, George Mason University and the Royal Academy of Dance in London, where she became a registered teacher.
