The Senate Music Group Announces The M.I.C the First Quarterly Mixer of its Kind

LOS ANGELES - May 27, 2013 - PRLog -- ...Los Angeles, CA-- On June 12, 2013, The Senate Music Group, LLC will celebrate the launch of its quarterly industry mixer, The M.I.C. (Music Industry Connection) at the Conga Room at L.A. Live from 8pm-1:30am. The first installment in the series,  “A Songwriter and Producer Affair”, will feature a live performance by Young Money Entertainment’s newest addition, Grammy award winning songwriter, singer and producer PJ Morton and Grammy nominated singer and songwriter JoiStaRR, a “beat dating” session with some of the industry’s top and rising producers and songwriters; and an exclusive Q & A panel session hosted by three time Grammy award winning producer, songwriter, and engineer Devine Evans (The Senate Music Group) and Lex Lu (Rebel City) featuring:

At the conclusion of the event there will be a special live performance featuring Young Money Entertainment and New Orleans native, PJ Morton, My Block Inc., songstress JoiStaRR and The Senate Music Group’s own Allison Rabel and Tori.

Born into the richly melodic soil of New Orleans, PJ recalls a musically inspired upbringing where his talents were eagerly nurtured. A musical triple threat, PJ is not only the newest addition to the storied Young Money roster; he also does double duty as the keyboardist/backing vocalist in Maroon 5 and is a Grammy, Dove and Stellar Award- winning producer and songwriter (India.Arie, Jermaine Dupri, LL Cool J, Jagged Edge, Monica and Musiq Soulchild). After releasing several mixtapes and albums on the indie circuit in the early part of his career and collecting accolades as a producer and songwriter, PJ recently released his highly anticipated debut album, New Orleans, featuring special guest features by Stevie Wonder, Busta Rhymes and Adam Levine. The album debuted at #1 on the iTunes R&B Chart, Top 5 on the Billboard Heatseekers Chart and Top 10 on the Billboard R&B Albums Chart.
