New Delhi, Delhi, May 27, 2013- Delhi Collage of Art, one of the country's premier art schools inaugurated its 11th consecutive annual exhibition with an awe inspiring -paintings covering most of the four sections that comprise AIFACS art gallery. Painted by the over 102 artists who are students in the first, second and the final years of Delhi Collage of Art these paintings are an interesting mix of themes that are representative of the myriads backgrounds that the artists hail from.
From the wives of the ambassadors of foreign diplomats, to youngsters seeking a career in art and corporate types for whom art is a form of self expression; the students of this art school are truly as eclectic a bunch of people as you could possibly find. It was therefore not surprising to find the attendees that included the chief guests(a group of senior artists) and leading lights of the arts & culture world visibly impressed by the show.
