Chicago’s Favorite Live Cover Band Maggie Speaks Plays at H.O.M.E. This Saturday

ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, Ill. - May 24, 2013 - PRLog -- This Saturday, May 25, 2013, the House of Music and Entertainment in Arlington Heights, Illinois will host Maggie Speaks, a five-piece cover band from Chicago known for their wild, energetic live shows. They’ve garnered quite a reputation as the most popular live band in Chicago.

Doors for the concert will open at 9:00 p.m., and the band will go on shortly thereafter. There are no advance tickets available for this concert, with only a $5 cover. Maggie Speaks is made up of Dave Calzaretta, Nicole, Garza, Blake Cooper, Samir Varma, and Shawn Sommer. The group formed back in 1997, since having played all over the world, including Europe and the Bahamas. During their 16 years together, they’ve had an unprecedented level of success for a cover band, sharing the stage with popular groups like Earth, Wind & Fire and the Doobie Brothers. Maggie Speaks has even shared the stage with late night talk show host Jay Leno.

While many cover bands stick to a certain sound or mimic a particular band, a live Maggie Speaks show is like putting your iPod on shuffle. They get the crowd moving with a wide range of covers. One minute you might be hearing a classic 80’s synth-pop song, then the next oldies from the 1950s. Then they’ll come right back with a song released just yesterday.

The group will perform imaginative medleys of diverse songs and excel at their flawless transitions. They’re like the perfect jukebox. Many of their performances are so close to the original that audience members can’t tell the difference with their eyes closed.

Maggie Speaks will perform in the 15,000 square foot House of Music and Entertainment Theater. The theater boasts a 28 by 30 foot stage with space for up to 1000 people and the latest in lighting technology. H.O.M.E. is located at 1227 North Rand Road in Arlington Heights.
