Sadie Nardini Headlines MHA's Mega Yoga Event

TARRYTOWN, N.Y. - May 24, 2013 - PRLog -- How do you follow up an event that had 600 rolling out their yoga mats in the center of White Plains? If you’re MHA Westchester, you invite the fierce and fabulous, globe-trotting yoga teacher Sadie Nardini to headline the event!

Sadie, whose 200 online videos have over 9 million views, whose “Total Body Transformation” DVD’s are #1 bestsellers on Amazon and whose Facebook page has over 40,000 daily views, is coming to Westchester for MHA’s second, Get On Your Mat For Mental Health, which will be held on Wednesday, June 19, 2013 on Court Street in White Plains, beginning at 6pm. According to Sadie, “In my experience, yoga has the power to bring healing for both body and mind. I am thrilled to join MHA Westchester in bringing yoga to the community.”

Local yoga legend, Tao Porchon-Lynch, who is the world’s oldest living yoga teacher, according to the Guinness Book, will lead the opening meditation.  Tao has been teaching yoga in the county for 45 years, and founded the Yoga Teachers Association in Westchester.

The event is open to all ages and all levels of yoga experience. Registration is $20 ($25 day of event). Little yogis (under 12) are $10. The first 500 registrants receive a complimentary yoga mat (thanks to White Plains Hospital) and bag plus a gift bag (courtesy, Athleta). Pre-registration is encouraged! The rain date is June 20, 2013. Live music by the global music band, House of Waters.
