ATLANTA - May 24, 2013 - PRLog -- WOOD RIVER, ILL.— The move from Japan to the U.S. has served the Nissan Leaf well. The all-electric vehicle’s EPA-rated mileage has improved by 16 mpg thanks to enhancements made since production moved to the U.S.

The 2013 Nissan Leaf is now rated 129/102/115 MPGe city/highway/combined by the EPA. Its previous EPA ratings were 106/92/99. The improvements are thanks to a more aerodynamic front fascia as well as a new charging unit that reduces the weight of the Leaf by 129 pounds!

The Nissan Leaf has also seen a sales boost since it moved production to the U.S.—a  423 percent year-over-year sales increase, in fact.
