Greendale Physical Therapy's Clinton Clinic Hosted Bustling Open House

May 23, 2013 - PRLog -- Last weekend, Greendale Physical Therapy hosted an open house for the community during the Tribute Road Race; there were over 300 runners and even more spectators. The clinic was bustling all day.

The clinic is conveniently located where the race began and ended which allowed Greendale's team members to cheer on the runners as they started and finished the 5 mile race. Greendale Owner, Jon Dooley who ran in the race said, "It was great to be a part of a day so special to Clinton and our community in more ways than one."

Tours of the facilities were provided for all visitors by the clinics' therapists. They also conducted Functional Movement Screen (FMS) tests for anyone interested. This is a ranking and grading system that helps therapists' document movement patterns that correlate with normal functions. Through these tests the results will reveal any functional limitations and asymmetries. FMS assists in tracking progress in restoration of proper movement and the increased strength of each individual.

Greendale PT's staff spoke very actively with the community members and race participants. They were able to connect with parents who have children in Physical Therapy and Athletic Training school. There was also information shared regarding the Worcester Columbus Day weekend race, The Shrewsbury Street 5k, which Greendale sponsors.

Local Italian restaurant, Via Alto, catered the open house by providing delicious food for the attendees and runners, who greatly appreciated the treats after participating in the race.
