Radio Arts Foundation – St. Louis Partners with Sound Room to Host HD Radio Reception and Giveawa

ST. LOUIS - May 23, 2013 - PRLog -- WHAT:          RAF-STL, the only St. Louis radio station dedicated to the region’s cultural and performing arts community, is hosting a hybrid digital (HD) radio listening event in conjunction with The Sound Room.

Attendees can register to win a Sangean HDT-1 component tuner for their home audio system. The tuner allows listeners to experience the crystal clear sound and expanded listening choices of HD radio programming. In addition, RAF-STL radio personalities Kathy Lawton-Brown and Jim Connett will be in attendance to meet listeners and share their perspective on the new station.

RAF-STL offers the St. Louis region a broad and invigorating radio format, both on analog radio at 107.3 and in hybrid digital at KIHT 96.3 HD2. Broadcasts are also be streamed live at www.rafstl.org.

The station’s opening is the result of countless hours of effort by the Radio Arts Foundation Board of Directors, as well as the determination and dedication of the station’s staff, contributors and supporters throughout the St. Louis region.

WHO:          On April 8, 2013, Radio Arts Foundation-St. Louis (RAF-STL) brought classical music back to the St. Louis public airwaves. Operating as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, the station’s mission is to be a nucleus for the cultural and performing arts community in the St. Louis area to connect, grow and flourish for years to come.

The station partners with distinguished local arts organizations, as well as solo and chamber artists, to broadcast performances, conduct in-depth interviews, air behind-the-scenes programs, and cover the local arts and cultural scene.

WHERE:          The HD Radio reception and giveaway event will take place at The Sound Room located at 1661 Clarkson Road in Chesterfield, MO 63017.
