Racelogic, manufacturer of VBOX – market-leading GPS test equipment – will be exhibiting on stand 1560 at this year’s Automotive Testing Expo in Stuttgart. Alongside their existing range, they will be showcasing ‘Moving Base’ – a recently developed test solution which enables engineers to conduct Open Road ADAS testing and validation.

Moving Base replaces the need to set-up a DGPS correctional Base Station to achieve relative distance accuracy between roving VBOX units. It works by using one vehicle’s VBOX3iSL-RTK as a base, sending out correctional messages to two other vehicles fitted with VBOX3iSL-RTK systems via a radio link. This removes the need to stay within a set broadcast range of the Base Station and makes it possible to test system setups on the Open Road amongst other road users.
