Follow on Google News | The MaryJane’s Flowers Will Hand Out Roses at Berlin CemeteryThis Memorial Day, The MaryJane’s Flowers in Berlin, NJ is participating in the nationwide Memorial Day Flowers program and will set up a stand at Berlin Cemetery to give out roses to visitors. Each visitor will receive one rose to place on a headstone to honor someone who served. MaryJane’s Flowers often supports various good causes, however this one is special and we are privileged to participate in honoring the people and families that have given the ultimate sacrifice for our country. Flowers are a form of emotional expressions and a single stem placed on a headstone is an appropriate show of respect. If you would like to get involved and help hand out roses please contact our shop. History: The Memorial Day Flowers program was started in 2011, when Kevin Clifford of the Delaware Valley Floral Group (DVFG) and Ramiro Penaherrera of the Flowers For Kids organization, working with flower farms from Ecuador, DVFG & other organizations donated 10,000 roses and 200 fresh flower bouquets to Arlington National Cemetery.
