Tammy Finch to Present at Southwest Food EXPO

Social media is growing rapidly and with that growth, its importance to businesses is growing, too. The Southwest Food Service Expo, produced by the Texas Restaurant Association, recognizes this.
 
PEORIA, Ill. - May 21, 2013 - PRLog -- Social media is growing rapidly and with that growth, its importance to businesses is growing, too. The Southwest Food Service Expo, produced by the Texas Restaurant Association, recognizes this.  They have invited Tammy Finch, of Web Services, Inc to participate in an event called, "You Like me, You Really Like me!  Engaging Customers with Social Media."   The Expo is held in Dallas, Texas June 23-24, 2013.  Presenting with Ms. Finch is Mari Luangrath of Foiled Cupcakes and Jeffery Yarbrough of bigInk PR.  Featured at the Expo is Chef Robert Irvine, host of Food Network's Restaurant: Impossible as well as 450+ exhibitors.  

"Restaurants especially benefit from using social networking.  Websites like Facebook and Twitter present opportunities to use a free tool to strengthen your relationship with current clients, to benefit from new client referrals by your client base, and to build rapport with prospects,” stated Tammy Finch, owner of Web Services, Inc., an East Peoria-based company.

In March, Finch discussed social media at the International Congress of Esthetics and Spa in Miami Beach, Florida.  The spa industry, like the restaurant industry is very visual so adding pictures to these free networks is a great way to spread the word about their offerings.  "How many times have you witnessed someone taking a picture of their food and sharing it on Facebook or Twitter?  We used to think that was crazy but now it's standard bragging rights, not only for the customer but the restaurant also!" Finch explains.    

For those who want to join the “social media party” but do not want to do it themselves, Finch’s company will post information on their behalf. “We set up the accounts, get fans or connections, and post information about their company at least once a week,” Finch explained.
