DROITWICH SPA, U.K. - May 21, 2013 - PRLog -- Heat pump manufacturer CTC is pleased to see the Government is not all mouth and no trousers where energy saving technology is concerned.

DECC (Department of Energy Climate Change) has increased the money off vouchers available under the RHPP (Renewable Heat  Premium Payment), so householders can now get a grant of £2,350, almost double the previous figure of £1,250 for a ground source heat pump, while air source heat pump grants have risen from £850 to £1,350.

CTC General Manager Cliff Arnold welcomes the good news.

“We’ve seen the Government talk the talk with initiatives like RHI (Renewable Heat Incentive), Feed-in-tariffs, and the Green Deal, but they’ve all been hit by delays,” he said. “The rise in RHPP vouchers shows they’re walking the walk too, with positive steps to make renewable technology more attractive and more affordable for householders. The industry now needs to do likewise and spread the word.”

Having released its first heat pump in 1982, CTC has been able to draw on the benefit of 30 years of experience in the heat pump market to develop its most efficient ground source heat pumps to date - the EcoHeat 300 and EcoPart 400, which has a COP (coefficient of performance) of 5.04* kWh of heat from 1 kWh of electricity.
