The Next Great Lineup at The State: Week of May 20 - 26

The State Theatre continues its action-packed May programming schedule with a variety of musical, film, and local acts that are great for families looking for affordable ways to spend time together. We’ve recapped each one for you below.
 
STATE COLLEGE, Pa. - May 20, 2013 - PRLog -- Wednesday, May 22 at 7:30 p.m., Singing Onstage Productions presents Godspell JR, a fun-packed, kid-friendly musical based on The Gospel according to St. Matthew. This musical offers a unique reflection on the life of Jesus Christ, featuring well-known songs as well as a message of love and kindness.

Thursday, May 23 at 7:00 p.m., Take a closer look at the behind-the-scenes work of 1974 British politicians as they attempt to change the nation’s future in National Theatre Live’s theatrical drama This House screened by The State Theatre.

Friday, May 24 at 8:00 p.m., State College Community Theatre presents Born Yesterday, a comedy theatre performance by Garson Kanin, following one man’s journey through Washington D.C. as he attempts to juggle politics and his love life. Performances will also take place Saturday, May 25 at 2:00 p.m. and again at 8:00 p.m.
