Month Long Pride Festivities Announced By Go Out Loud

SALEM, Mass. - May 20, 2013 - PRLog -- (SALEM, MASS.) Local LGBT initiative and promotional events platform, Go Out Loud, today announced month long Pride celebrations, events and ceremonies for June, starting with partner Salem First Friday, a night-long celebration throughout Salem on June 7th, 2013; Salem PRIDE: “City of Peace” Celebration event, where funds will support the North Shore Community Action Programs at 7PM at Salem’s Hawthorne Hotel on June 14th, 2013; participation in the North Shore Pride Parade on June 29th, 2013, followed by multiple PRIDE Harbor Cruises with Mahi-Mahi Cruises running from 3PM to 7PM and PRIDE After-Party at Vic’s Boathouse at 7PM.

Salem Main Streets has partnered with Go Out Loud for Salem First Friday: PRIDE Edition, which encourages local businesses to stay open late and showcase their LGBT support, with special in-store events and promotions, throughout 40+ participating businesses in Salem on June 7th. John Andrews, social media manager for Salem First Friday, remarked, “Go Out Loud is the perfect organization to partner with to help small businesses reach a targeted demographic that celebrates the accomplishments made for modern equality.” A GE (General Electric) sponsored after-party at Flying Saucer Pizza Company will take place at 7:30 PM.

The following week, the Salem PRIDE: “City of Peace” celebration event will raise funds for the North Shore Community Action Programs, which provides innovative social services that helps low-income families and individuals find financial stability. Chief Financial Officer of Go Out Loud and Director of Sales of Hawthorne Hotel, Thomas Mac Donald, said it was “an honor” to help assemble this event. “The Hawthorne Hotel continues to play host to important events that affect our daily lives. By helping an organization like NSCAP in collaborating with Go Out Loud, I am humbled to help raise funds on behalf of the organizations I represent in creating this opportunity,” Mac Donald said. Also, special surprise guests by notable personalities are due to make appearances to help support the cause.

Lastly, the Pride festivities being held on Saturday, June 29th will kickoff with the North Shore Pride Committee’s parade through downtown Salem, starting at 10AM, with walking members of the Go Out Loud team included. Mahi-Mahi Harbor Cruises will be offering a 3:00PM PRIDE Harbor Cruise: Proud Parents Family Voyage! boat tour, followed by a 5PM PRIDE Harbor Tea Dance Cruise with alcohol available to purchase. To cap the night, Vic’s Boathouse at Pickering Wharf will play host to a PRIDE After Party! with DJ Andrea spinning tunes, starting at 7PM through closing.
