RoommateFit primarily attracts young professionals seeking an affordable living situation, which in most cases means sharing rent and utility costs with a roommate. However as RoommateFit is quick to point out, most roommate searches today take place on Craigslist—a not-so-reliable and often dangerous platform.

RoommateFit aims to pair individuals with ideal living candidates using psychology Ph.D.-developed personality-based matching criteria. In addition, RoommateFit uses neighborhood and rent preferences to further fine-tune your search. These criteria determine a users’ Fit Score in relation to other users and listings.
