New Art Gallery Opens in Massapequa, NY. Grand Opening Celebration Saturday, June 1, 2013, 4pm-8pm

WEST ISLIP, N.Y. - May 20, 2013 - PRLog -- Environ Vision Designs, a complete design and fabrication service specializing in fine art, custom indoor/outdoor sculptures, paintings, architectural elements, display, scenery, models and restorations, announces the grand opening celebration of its new Gallery at 5404 Merrick Road, on Saturday, June 1, 2013, from 4pm-8pm.  Free and open to the public, the event will feature works by Artist Lori Horowitz.  Refreshments will also be served.

Environ Vision Designs owner and director Lori Horowitz, a member of the Massapequa Chamber of Commerce, invites the public to stop by and meet her to view and explore her creations of fine art, indoor/outdoor sculpture, painting and photography.  “My true passion is creating art based on society, political issues and the environment,” says Ms. Horowitz, a designer and artist for over 20 years.  “My expertise in a large variety of media enables me to produce multifaceted pieces that evoke emotion and purpose to communicate thoughts that beckon the viewer to interact.”

Ms. Horowitz has worked as a scenic designer and artist for numerous companies, theaters, institutions and galleries, as well as for music videos, television and feature films.  She has created designs for The Smithsonian Institute, Comedy Central, Marvel Comics, the TV series “Smash” and feature film “Men in Black III” to name a few.   She is a member of the United Scenic Artist IATSI 829, a founding member of the Long Island Professional Sculptors and Supporters (L.I.P.S.S.), The Huntington Arts Council, and a former Theater Arts and Film professor at Five Towns College.  Her art has been shown in various shows throughout New York including East Hampton’s Guild Hall, Farmingdale University, The Petite Gallery in Huntington, and The Kitchen in New York City.  She was chosen by the New York State Legislator in 2011 as a representative of Woman Sculptors in Suffolk County.
