First Annual Urban Angels LLC "Embracing the Youth" Fundraiser

CHARLESTON, S.C. - May 19, 2013 - PRLog -- The First Annual Urbans Angels LLC fundraiser was astonishing! "Embracing the children" was the theme of the evening with powerful speakers of State Representative Wendel Gilliard, Channel 2 Octavia Mitchell, and more. The event was held at the amazing Gullah Cuisine Restaurant in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina. Many came out to support the worth cause to raise money to give high school students scholarships, and fund for them to take tours during the summer to colleges.

Most low income students work very hard in school so that they can achieve academic or sport scholarships. There's also many that don't have the financial means to go to college, and don't know where to research or where to go to obtain the information to go to college to build a brighter future. "We want to bring an opportunity for kids to gain a better future," says Co-Founder of Urban Angles, LLC, Cory Steed. "With this fundraiser, we want to create opportunities for low income seniors to have to opportunity to take college tours, assistance with SAT preparation and so forth. With Urban Angels, we want to really reach out to the students and educate them on various grants, Scholarships and other avenues to create a better tomorrow."

Teaming up with Wendel Gilliard's project Cool Breeze, Urban Angels is on the path to build up a new beginning for the youth. Be on the look out for the upcoming Celebrity Basketball Game in July.
