Starjack Entertainment Publishes Its First Book: Silver And Gold!

May 17, 2013 - PRLog -- 17 May 2013, North Yorkshire, England & Connecticut, US – In their continuing efforts to spread the word about the financial exploitation of the elderly, filmmakers Deborah Louise Robinson and Pamela S. K. Glasner are delighted to announce that Starjack Entertainment has gone one step further in this endeavor and has published its first book.

The book, entitled Silver and Gold – “Last Will and Embezzlement” Discussion Guide, was written as a companion piece for Starjack’s documentary, Last Will and Embezzlement, to promote intelligent discussion and debate for key issues surrounding the financial exploitation of the elderly including victim profiles, the challenges of our present legal system, the perpetrators’ modus operandi, the symptoms and effects of these crimes, as well as potential solutions to this ever-increasing worldwide problem.

Robinson, who directed the film, had this to say: “Our aim, when we made Last Will and Embezzlement, was to raise awareness of the issue of the financial exploitation of the elderly, to open up discussions, and get people talking about how best to bring about much needed changes in our society.  With this book, Pamela has created the perfect tool to enhance any discussion. Tragically, Pamela’s father, Harry Glasner, himself a victim of exploitation, did not live to see how his wonderfully tenacious daughter fought for justice, and how she made so many good things come from that tragedy – but I know he must be very proud of her.”

Starjack partner Pamela Glasner said, “I can’t think of a more touching way to celebrate what would have been my dad’s 93rd birthday.”  The book was written in honor of Glasner’s parents, who were together for 82 years and whose long lives and tragic deaths were the inspiration behind the complete Last Will and Embezzlement series of works.
