A Chat With Walker Marketing & Consultants' CEO

DUBLIN, Ohio - May 17, 2013 - PRLog -- I had a little chat with Brandon Walker, CEO of Walker Marketing and Consultants, about his achievements and goals for the future.  From restaurant staff to business owner, this man has learned a lot about success so I thought it would be wise to pick his brain a little bit.


1. What were your goals for 2012 and how did you achieve them?
Walker: Our goal for 2012 was to open 2 more offices. We actually exceeded that goal by opening 5 offices. One of the elements that contributed to this over-achievement was the people.  We picked the right people to work with and we helped them develop leadership skills early on so that they could make decisions for themselves.

2. What are your goals for 2013?
Walker: We plan to grow by 50-60% and by this time next year we plan to have 20 plus offices total. We plan to achieve these goals by focusing on quality and work ethic.

3. How do you make the office a team environment?
Walker: Firstly, it starts with the leadership of the company. Managers lead by example so that is why we create so many events to give our employees the chance to hang out and bond. We have an "Office Night" one day a week where employees get together after work at a local establishment, bring their family and friends, hang out, and talk about anything but business. Other events we do are little competitions in the morning and charity events with Mid Ohio Food Bank. We have a lot of fun and make sure to include everyone.

4. What is your advice to young professionals just starting out?
Walker: #1 Have a plan, have a schedule and stick to it.
             #2 Never stop learning. Soak up knowledge from current events, books, etc.
             #3 Surround yourself with successful people, observe them, and ask questions.
