By: Long Island Game Farm ● July 15-19: Wild World of Animals (ages 4-9) — It’s not always being green, spotted, striped or camouflaged. Children will learn about the many wonderful friends the Game Farm staff care for, as well as weird and quirky tidbits about each of them. They will also learn about the natural habitats, find out their special likes and dislikes, and create special keepsakes and memories that will last all summer long! ● July 22-26: All “Kinds of Krazy” Animals (ages 7-12) — Herbivores. Carnivores. Omnivores. Children will learn about what the animals at the Game Farm and in the wild enjoy. They will also create special treats and toys for some of the Game Farm’s newest additions and longtime residents, as well as some special keepsakes to bring home. ● July 29-August 2: Camp Zoo Carnival (ages 4-12) — Children will take part in fun and games inspired by a carnival theme as they join the Game Farm staff in bidding farewell to the summer until next year. They will also create special projects and learn about the Game Farm’s favorite four-legged friends while enjoying some popcorn and other treats, for an animal sendoff, Game Farm-style! At the end of the week, all campers will receive a Camp Zoo T-shirt and a personalized CD containing photographs of their experiences at Camp Zoo. For the first time, this year, the Game Farm will host a Mini-Camp Zoo (http://www.longislandgamefarm.com/ “We can’t wait to get started with our ninth year of Camp Zoo and our first-ever Mini Camp Zoo. This program is as exciting for us as it will be for the young campers. The camp is the ultimate animal experience where children will learn in-depth about different animals and wildlife issues. Our mission has always been to offer high-quality fun and education to families across Long Island and Camp Zoo takes that concept one step farther by really getting the kids involved,” said Melinda Novak, Co-Owner of the Long Island Game Farm. “This looks to be our most fun year yet!” Registration (http://www.longislandgamefarm.com/ A deposit of $100 per child per week is required to ensure a child’s reservation. All balances are due by June 15. Any camper who registers after that date is expected to pay the amount in full. Up to 25 campers are accepted for each session. Registration is on a first-come, first-served basis. Mini Camp Zoo registration for each camper is $55 per day or $95 for both days. One week of Mini Camp Zoo is $250.
