Sintecs starts with System on Module development

Sintecs BV, a leading electronics development company in Hengelo (Ov), the Netherlands, has launched the development of Systems on Module (SoM) based on the Freescale i.MX application processors. Our unique knowledge of high-speed electronics development combined with market trends, it was a logical step to start developing SoM's.

A System on Module is an ideal alternative to fully own electronics development. With our SoM approach, the benefits of purchasing a complete off-the-shelf Single Board Computers (SBC) and a custom electronic solution are perfectly combined. With Off-The-Shelf components as a generic carrier board and a SoM, the project risks will be reduced and it is possible to start with your software development as early as possible. A SoM therefore offers a shorter, more efficient and predictable development process.

The uniqueness of our SoM (based on the Freescale i.MX536) is the multifunctional application. The module is designed so that it can be used on a carrier board as also operate fully standalone (USB or battery powered).

We will be offering this SoM as a commercial product but in addition there is the possibility of using this module to develop a custom specific system.

Because this product was developed entirely by Sintecs using various analyzes to ensure the optimal performance, we are able to develop a custom specific application of high quality in an efficient manner.
