Pace and ULI to Sponsor Conference on Trends in Sustainable Development and Construction Financing

The latest trends in sustainable development and financing of major construction projects will be the topic of a conference sponsored by Pace University and ULI Westchester/Fairfield.

BRIARCLIFF MANOR, N.Y. - May 16, 2013 - PRLog -- PLEASANTVILLE, NY -- The latest trends in sustainable development and financing of major construction projects will be the topic of a conference sponsored by Pace University and ULI Westchester/Fairfield. The conference, Taking the LEED in Green Development: Pace University’s Master Plan for Its Pleasantville Campus, will be held Tuesday, June 25 from 8:30 am - 2 pm at Pace University's Pleasantville Campus, 861 Bedford Road, entrance 3, Kessel Student Center, Gottesman Room.  

The conference will focus on Pace University's Master Plan to reposition its Pleasantville campus. The $100 million project, which is expected to break ground this summer, is one of the largest development projects in the Hudson Valley Region.

Keynote speaker for the conference is Ed McMahon, Senior Resident Fellow, ULI, and Charles E. Fraser Chair for Sustainable Development and Environmental Policy. He will discuss national trends in large scale redevelopment projects in higher education focusing on best practices and lessons learned.

Conference panelists will include: David Clemenzi, AIA, LEED AP, Senior Project Director, EYP Architecture and Engineering; Andy Tung, Partner, Divney Tung Schwalbe; Michelle Land, Director, Pace Academy for Applied Environmental Studies; Jay Black, Director of Sustainability, SL Green Realty Corp; Jeff Turner, Senior Vice President, Brailsford & Dunlavey; Craig Levin, Senior Project Manager, Brailsford & Dunlavey; Tom Brady, Treasurer, Pace University; and Joseph Carlucci, Partner, Cuddy & Feder.

In addition to two panel discussions, the conference will also include breakfast and lunch and a walking tour of the Pleasantville campus. "Early Bird" registration prior to June 1 is $60 for ULI Members and $75 for non members. After June 1, cost is $75 ULI Members and $85 non members.
