Lauri Poe Joins BKD SALT Services

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - May 16, 2013 - PRLog -- KANSAS CITY, MO. – Rob Wagner, managing partner of BKD, LLP’s International and State and Local Tax (SALT) services practice, is pleased to announce that Lauri Poe has joined BKD’s SALT services team as a Managing Consultant in the Kansas City office.  

Poe has more than 13 years of real and personal property tax consulting experience. She also has experience in multistate project management, valuation analysis, fair market value analysis and fixed assets analysis. She has assisted clients in a variety of industries, including industrial, utility, mining and retail.

Wagner stated, “Lauri has deep property tax and valuation expertise. She will help expand our geographic coverage in the property tax arena and we are excited to have Lauri join our SALT team.”

As a part of the BKD SALT team, she will be responsible for the development and implementation of property tax saving opportunities, preparation of documentation and argument to assessing authorities and negotiation of assessment reductions. She is a graduate of Park University, Parkville, Missouri, with a B.A. degree and a graduate of Baker University, Overland Park, Kansas, with a master’s degree. Poe is an Accredited Senior Appraiser and a Certified Member of the Institute for Professionals in Taxation.
