Cobbs Allen Instrumental In Opening Of New Mercedes CareHere On-site Health Center For Team Members

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - May 16, 2013 - PRLog -- The doctor is in. On Monday, April 8, 2013, Mercedes-Benz U.S. International (MBUSI) opened the MBUSI Family Wellness Center, an on-site health care center for Team Members. The healthcare center is run by CareHere, LLC and is staffed six days a week with a physician, a nurse practitioner and two registered nurses and is open to Mercedes-Benz plant Team Members and their families. Cobbs Allen, a Birmingham-based risk management firm, was instrumental in selecting CareHere, LLC, to complement the existing MBUSI fitness facility that includes a fitness center, a gymnasium, locker rooms, a café and both occupational and physical therapy offices.

Mercedes-Benz’ opening of this on-site clinic for Team Members and their families reflects the growing trend of employers turning to workplace health clinics as an avenue to increase productivity, better health and decrease absenteeism while managing health-care costs. “After careful review of Mercedes-Benz’ current plans and experience,” Terry Holloway, Executive Vice President with Cobbs Allen said, “we realized that both Mercedes-Benz and their Team Members could benefit significantly from the addition of a robust onsite clinic with a focus on wellness.
