Follow on Google News | NVNA Works Announces New Program to Assist Patients During HospitalizationBy: PR First “At Your Aide” provides families with a health aide on duty and at the bedside during hospitalizations. With busy schedules it is often impossible for family members to sit in the hospital with a family member and monitor the patient’s condition and assist them. The service is available on an “as needed” basis, so often times it can be overnight the first night after surgery or a procedure. The health aide stays with the patient in the hospital and is there for them whenever they need assistance. “We have created this program to meet a need here on the South Shore,” said NVNA Works Director Christine McDonough. “Families are often stretched very thin and pulled in a number of directions during times of illness so we’re happy to provide the assistance and professional care that can help them through difficult times. We can also direct families to the best options to meet their after-care needs, including linking them up with our certified agency (NVNA and Hospice), and offer follow-up and additional care if needed after they are discharged.” About NVNA Works NVNA Works is an affiliate of NVNA and Hospice, a non-profit home health care and hospice agency founded in 1920.
