In addition, the Civic Sedan and the Civic Coupe are the first and only cars in their class to receive both the IIHS Top Safety Pick+ designation and a 5-Star Overall Vehicle Score from the NHTSA New Car Assessment Program (NCAP). The 2013 Accord has recently received these same safety ratings in the midsize vehicle category.
