Literary Juice Launches Poetry Contest

May 16, 2013 - PRLog -- 1. All contest submissions must be typed in 12-point, Times New Roman font.  There is no line minimum for submitted poetry.  Type your name, address, and e-mail at the top corner of the first page in your manuscript.  Submissions must be written in English.  Any genre of poetry is allowed.

2. Simultaneous submissions are welcome, but there will be no refund on the entry fee if your poem is accepted elsewhere.  If your poem is accepted to another publication, we ask that you inform us or withdraw your entry immediately regarding its status.  

3. Entry fee is $5.00 (USD) per submission and non-refundable.  Authors may submit up to five (5) poems for consideration.  Please submit poems in one document.  Additional poems must be submitted separately so long as the submission is accompanied by the entry fee.

4. We only accept submissions online through Submittable, which you can access by visiting our Submission Guidelines  or by clicking here.

5. Winner will receive $100 (USD) and publication in Literary Juice; one runner-up will receive $50 (USD) and publication in Literary Juice.  Winning poems will also be accompanied by a photograph of each author, as well as a short bio, if desired.  Winners may be asked to sign a Writer's Agreement Form for their winning work.

6. Winning entries will be determined by the editors.

7. Previously published poems are not permitted.

8. Poetry must be the work of entrant only.  Do not submit for someone else.

9. Contest is open to everyone age 18 or older, including non-U.S. based authors.

10. Winning entrants agree to have their poem published online.  Authors will retain worldwide copyright on their stories, with Literary Juice having first publication rights.

11. Deadline for submissions is August 31, 2013.  Winners will be notified via e-mail and  
results will be posted online.  

12. Entry is confirmation that you agree to all of the above rules and conditions.
