Ms. Milner created this guidebook for youth ministers, youth workers, and parents to assist youth in building a stronger relationship with God.

The Workbook includes three parent Workshops; Wake Up Parents: We are at War, Building a Family with God, and Do Not Get it Twisted.

Do Not Get It Twisted:

Objective:

1.        Define the word whosoever according to John 3:16

2.        Confronts our individual bias toward those we feel are unworthy of God's Love.

Goal:

1.       To be able to minister God's word with an open heart without judgment.

Wake up Parents: We are at War

Objective:

1.  Examine the Role of Parents in preparing their children for the world

2. Identify characteristics that prophecy failure over your children.

3. Define the characteristics of a good parent.

Goal:

1.       Provide instruction that will assist parents in rearing their children in a Godly home.

Building a Family with God

Objective:

1. Examine current relationship with God

2. Learn the steps to building a relationship with God

Goal: Being able to implement the 5 steps of building a family with God.

The Youth Workshops include; Youth Wake Up: You are at War, Building a Relationship with God, God's Door is Always Open, When God Speaks How will you Act, Finding Answers from God in the 21st Century, and What IF.

Youth Wake up: You are at War

Objective:

1.       Define what it means to live in the image of God.

2.       List the steps one must take to protect yourself with the armor of God.

Goal:

1.       Be able to prepare a plan of worship, praise, prayer, and reading the Bible in order to live in the image of God.

Building a Relationship with God

Objective:

1.       Examine your current relationship with God.

2.       Learn the steps to building a relationship with God.

Goal:

1.       Implement the steps in building a relationship with God.

When God Speaks How Will You Act?

Objective:

1.       Understand how God’s task for your life affects others.

2.       Learning to hear the word of God through the Holy Spirit.

Goal:

1.       Hearing the voice of God and being Obedient.

The Door is Always Open

Objective:

1.       Identify your gifts

2.       Dedicate your gifts to God.

3.       Plan your ministry

Goal:

1.       To be able to identify your gifts and prepare a plan for your ministry.

Finding Answers from God Today

Objective:

1.       Learning how to find answers from the Bible.

2.       Utilizing the Bible in your everyday life.

Goal:

1.       Make the Bible in encyclopedia for your life.

WHAT IF:

Objective:

1.       Examine the lives of characters in the Bible that were called on to do great things.

2.       Examine how their disobedience would have changed history.

Goal:

1.       Understand the importance of being obedient to God.

Ms. Milner had this to say about the creation of the guide and workbook. After reviewing the book I was asked to develop the workbook so that churches could conduct the workshops by themselves. I began by changing the format to include the objectives and goals of each workshop. I also included group and individual activities as well as questions to complete after you have completed the workshop. The proceeds of this workbook will be used to fund my new organization Mentoring Youth for Christ. I began this organization to mentor youth in their gifts so that they are educated in the word of God as they begin to enter the world and begin their ministry. Many people feel that Christians should separate their talents from the world, but I feel that we must mentor our children and encourage them to minister to the world. They must remain involved in the church in order to be fed but then they must expand beyond the walls of the church in order to bring others to Christ. They must live their lives in the image of Christ.

The guidebook can be implemented by youth, your family, parents or individuals that just want guidance in strengthening their relationship
