NEC International - 2012 a Year in Review

BRAINTREE, Mass. - May 14, 2013 - PRLog -- NEC’s mission statement is to create lucrative partnerships through a personal commitment to profitability for their clients and employees. Furthermore, NEC is dedicated to the personal and professional growth of their employees creating life-long friends and business partners.  Not only is the mission statement the foundation of the company’s success, but also a reflection of their prosperity in the previous year.

In 2012, NEC employees attending multiple leadership conferences, the company hosted many fundraising events, celebrated multiple promotions, and clients finished the year with a high return on their investment.

To kick off the year NEC’s management and human resource teams attended at leadership and development conference in Atlanta, GA.  Not only did NEC management sharpen their skills, receive greater knowledge and promotions from the clients, but they also had the opportunity to hear from the keynote speaker Eric Greitens.  Eric is a Navy SEAL, award winning author, Rhodes Scholar and CEO of The Mission Continues. He spoke on leading with strength and compassion.  Not only were they inspired by the powerful speaker, but were able to bring the knowledge and inspiration back to the office in Braintree to share with NEC employees.

In July similar to the conference at the beginning of the year there was an inspirational keynote speaker who joined the event. Anthony Robles, a colligate wrestler who won the 2010-11 NCAA individual wrestling championship in the 125-pound weight class despite being born with only one leg. He spoke on his motto of being “Unstoppable” no matter what life or business presents to you.  NEC employees were inspired by his whatever it takes mentality and determination that hard work pays off.

NEC has prominent investment in their employees growth and development not only through quarterly conferences, but also daily with their management training program. NEC’s client list continues to expand resulting in a demand for services and the need for leadership.  NEC has a proven track record of a high return on investment for clients therefore clients continually request additional leadership on additional campaigns in additional markets. With NEC’s promote from within philosophy they have created a management training program through which top performers quickly ascend the corporate ladder and begin a rewarding career built on sound principles.

In 2012 NEC was able to meet and exceed their goals with one of the top telecommunication companies in the United States.  In March, NEC moved 6 employees down to Greensboro, NC.  In October NEC expanded again into the Raleigh, NC market.  NEC has had a contract with a nationwide office and business supplier since 2008.  In May, the client reached out to NEC to work with an additional medical supply division.  

NEC not only provides advancement opportunities for employees to continue to improve their skills and grow as an individual, but NEC holds a strong impact in the Boston community as well as nationwide with their company focus on the integration of philanthropic values. Within the past year NEC has volunteered with Susan G. Komen for the Cure, and Autism Speaks.  NEC has also made monetary contributions to the Salvation Army as well as Purple Stride. Each December NEC looks forward to adopting a family through the Salvation Army. In December 2012, NEC was assigned to a family with 6 children.  NEC employees were able to purchase toys, clothing, video games and Shaw’s gift cards to help bring joy to the holiday season. NEC employees have a great time uniting as a company and making a difference with each volunteer function or fundraising event.

Annually NEC sets a fundraising goal to benefit Operation Smile, an organization whose mission is to better the lives of children born with facial deformities. Operation Smile had become NEC’s most admired charity to fundraise for.  In 2012, NEC donated more than $5000 to benefit the humanitarian organization.

NEC not only works hard in the sales and marketing industry for their clients, gives back to the community, but also is prideful of their work hard play hard environment. Relationships that NEC team members share in the workplace are completely professional and work oriented. However, it is normal to want some “play time” in the midst of the work day or week. NEC believes that the sense of winning as a team informally also motivates team members to work together to achieve their goals in a formal way as well.

NEC employees like to break up the work week with an organized evening kickball game or a night at SkyZone playing trampoline dodgeball. On the weekends NEC will often get together for a softball, baggo, or basketball game. A few employees also play in a soccer league together.

Throughout the year NEC has held many friendly competitions amongst employees. The in-office competitions are performance based making the playing field fair to all of those who are willing to put in the work.  This past year NEC has given away Boston Red Sox tickets, Boston Celtics tickets, New England Patriots tickets, airline tickets, gift cards, cash bonuses and IPads to top performers in the company.

Besides travel for conferences, NEC also provides the opportunity to travel throughout the country for training as well as leisure. In April NEC employees had the opportunity to hang out with to network with top leaders from around the country with an eventful weekend in Boston. They enjoyed a Red Sox game, Duck Tour, Charity Baggo Tournament, and a company sponsored Awards Dinner.  In July, NEC had sent employees to Atlanta to enjoy a Braves game, a brewery tour, and a fun filled weekend. In August NEC’s management and human resource team enjoyed a weekend of rest and relaxation at Eden Roc in Miami, FL.  In November, NEC management and top sales and marketing representatives traveled to Philadelphia, PA where they enjoyed a Trolley Tour, a night at XFinity Live!, hosted a charity baggo tournament, and attended an Eagles game.

It is not an accident that NEC consists of some of the most fun and ambitious men and women around Boston. They are given an opportunity to work their way up from entry-level, being careful to not ignore the lessons along the way. Those who are successful at NEC are self-reflective, have developed great habits, have taken advantage of the experience of their mentors, and have made the most of the tools that are available to them. These beliefs combined with a genuine desire to be the best has made NEC one of the fastest-growing, most successful companies in the highly competitive outsourced sales and marketing industry.
